LANSING The state House approved a series of bills Thursday to modify Michigans medical marijuana law, proposing rules for doctor-patient relationships, law enforcement access to the patient registry and requiring medical marijuana to be kept inaccessible in vehicles. The bills were adopted on broad, bi-partisan votes, clearing the three-fourths majority hurdle needed to amend the law approved by Michigan voters in 2008. Similar majorities will be needed for approval in the state Senate, however, before the changes would become effective.
